Authorising Holidays in a Block

Hi When someone requests a block of holidays, ie 2 weeks, we have to authorise them one day at a time. If it goes onto 2 pages it doesn’t let us tick every box on both pages, we have to do one page then the other. It doesn’t sound like a huge problem, but it’s a pain. Can we please just see the whole period of holiday, and authorise it as one item. So we would see the start and end dates, plus the amount of hours (or days for those companies who have holiday entitlement by day) as one item to be authorised. Thank you

Could a notification be sent to Managers when they have outstanding requests in the system.

Holiday threshold by employee, rather than just number of people

Could the holiday threshold please be amended so that we can name the employees within a department who can’t be absent at the same time? Within a department, it’s not really good enough to simply say a certain number of staff can’t be off at the same time, if the ones who request holidays are all at the same level. Eg, it would be silly to let all supervisors/senior members of staff to be off at the same time, leaving apprentices in charge! Thank you.

Custom holidays don't deduct breaks.

When a custom holiday is booked, i.e. 11am to 3pm, the standard lunch break i.e. 12 to 12.30 isn’t accounted for and the full hours i.e. 4 hours is taken from hols entitlement, instead of 3.5 hours. The holiday booking should talk to the shift pattern.

Automatic Reporting

Abilitiy to send a custom report via email with files type option date range of chosen data and tag selection. To also include frequence and day selection. Use of the tag feature to group users such as managers with the email 1 field.

Holiday- Carried

currently only Positive holiday remaining is carried forward. Can Negatives also be carried over please?

Can we get The ability for employees to send notes alongside a holiday/Absence request. This will help if say an employee had a doctors appointment and more.

Exceptions

If a reason is input for an absence etc cannot it not clear the exception automatically.

Option to Duplicate shifts

Would customers find it helpful to have a “Copy” or “Duplicate Shift” button so they can quickly copy and tweak an existing shift when adding a new employee, rather than setting one up from scratch?

Override Holiday Threshold Limit.

If a threshold has been reach, admin should be offered the opportunity to allow additional employee to take leave. This should be available from the “Attendance” screen before the holiday is rejected. Currently admin has to go and change all the effected thresholds, allocate the holiday then change the threshold back. Not really an acceptable work around.

Easy to view TAGS on Employee profile

It would be really helpful if all tags that have been selected for an employee, appear under their name and picture icon on the left hand side when you open up an employee profile. This would be really beneficial for quick reference instead of having to go into the tags tab and scrolling down the list. Or, if all tags that have been selected can be put at the top of the tags list. Again to save people having to scroll through and potentially miss one that has been ticked.

Nested Tags

The ability to have nested tags - creating a hierachy and structure to the current tag system. Imagine Microsoft windows style folder structure.

Required Absence Notes

When adding an absence / sick / holiday have an option that forces the manager to leave a reason or explanation for the event This could be stored in the notes section, or an entirely new section

Organision Chart

Can organisation chart show employees vertically rather than horizontally? In its current form, it’s impossible to see the whole chart which makes it exremely difficult to work with as it is so wide. It’s not really fit for purpose now as it’s impossible to fit it onto a sheet of paper so can’t be printed.

Attendance screen

The attendance screen doesn’t have a search employee button. Can we have this please? Thanks

Workflow

Can we add a “are you sure” when adding employees to the workflow? Means you don’t accidently add all employees and have to go through them each individually to remove them.

Working time Regulation alerts

Working time Regulation alerts It would be good to have flags for when employees work too many hours in line with the working time regulations. We need to prove that we monitor this and ensure employees have signed opt out for when they do. As a duty of care to our employees it should be monitored even if they have signed an opt out. So, a report or flag would be helpful.

Is it possible to have the option to change the Terminology of the clock In/Out on the GT8 Terminals? From Punch Accepted to Clocked In and Clocked Out

Can we please have an option to amend a holiday? Currently, we have to delete the holiday then enter a new one; amending the existing one would be so much easier and quicker.

An option to be able to amend Exceptions with drop down boxes on the initial page, without having to go in to each individual account.

Viewing Next Year Entitlement

Currently, you can't see if you have accrued an extra day holiday, the balance of entitlement for this year and next. Ideally you can look ahead and see next years entitlement and further over 5-10 years to see the increase entitlement based on length of service.

Removal of the word EMPLOYEE anywhere in the app

we would like to see the word “Employee” removed from Chronicle. Hours recorded may be for temporary workers, contingency workers, independent contract workers – not just Employees. It is disingenuous to use the term Employee for a non-employed worker. “Worker” or “Operative” or “Individual” would be more apt.

Holiday cancellation approval

When employees want to cancel holidays, send a cancellation request to the manager for it to be approved, and have a cancelled holiday still show on the daily record. Currently only declined or approved show

Cancel holidays when marked as leaver

When a leaving date is entered within the additional info tab, could a button be added to cancel all future holidays after that date - rather than leaving them in place, or having to remove them manually.

Holiday Drop down Selection for months

could a drop down be added so instead of having to go month by month you can for example to be able to jump from January straight to December or any other month?

Prevent clocking outside ringfenced areas

Could a feature be introduced to prevent employees clocking in/out outside ringfenced areas. Clearing exceptions can be very time consuming for management teams.

Holiday Monthly View for all employees

can there be a calendar layout view for all employees to see who is off for managers to see the whole month rather than a list? and have the option to print the Calendar page?

Absences

Is it possible to be able to have a different colour for different absence types as they all appear to be pink regardless of what that absence is for?

Ability to add columns/rows to existing reports (or to create own report). For example, ability to add Activity, Cost Centre, Tag etc to timesheet type reports

Rejecting Holiday When Threshold Exceeded

On behalf of a customer - currently if someone books holiday that clashes with another employee’s holiday, the system will approve the days that don’t clash and reject the ones that do. It should reject the whole request.

Is there a way that an Admin can view all their teams Holidays on one Calendar rather than clicking through each employee individually?
