Oustanding Holidays

Could we please have an easy way (not have to run a report) to see how many holidays a person has taken and what their remaining entitlement is? The option on their record shows what their entitlement is, but you can’t drill down to see what’s been booked, which they always ask. A screen view showing all details would be really good please.

Calendar Problems on new Beta Version

On the new desktop Beta version, when someone requests holidays for the future (which all holidays would be) they don’t show. The view defaults to a month ago up to today, rather than showing all holiday requests. Can this be changed please as it’s a pain to have to go to the calendar every time to choose dates. It should just show all requests, as it does on the old version.

Hours changes

Please note that when an employee’s working hours change, any holidays already booked must be adjusted accordingly. This means that booked leave should be recalculated to reflect the employee’s new daily working hours. For example, if an employee previously worked 5 hours per day and has now moved to 7 hours per day, any existing holiday bookings should be updated to ensure the correct number of hours are deducted for that period. This helps maintain accurate leave balances and ensures consistency across payroll and records. Can the system automatically do this please?

Removal of the word EMPLOYEE anywhere in the app

we would like to see the word “Employee” removed from Chronicle. Hours recorded may be for temporary workers, contingency workers, independent contract workers – not just Employees. It is disingenuous to use the term Employee for a non-employed worker. “Worker” or “Operative” or “Individual” would be more apt.

Easy to view TAGS on Employee profile

It would be really helpful if all tags that have been selected for an employee, appear under their name and picture icon on the left hand side when you open up an employee profile. This would be really beneficial for quick reference instead of having to go into the tags tab and scrolling down the list. Or, if all tags that have been selected can be put at the top of the tags list. Again to save people having to scroll through and potentially miss one that has been ticked.

Should Chronicle Integrate with Wagestream (now Stream)?

We’re exploring whether Chronicle should integrate with Wagestream (now Stream) to support earned wage access (EWA). https://stream.co/en Stream allows employees to access a portion of earned wages before payday, based on worked hours. An integration could potentially: Allow real-time earnings data to flow from Chronicle to Stream Enable accurate earned wage calculations based on approved time records Improve employee financial wellbeing Support recruitment and retention in hourly workforces Add value in retail, hospitality and multi-site environments Key considerations: Demand from our customer base Integration complexity and ongoing support Commercial model (referral vs deep integration) Impact on payroll workflows Whether this strengthens our competitive positioning Questions for customers: Would access to earned wage solutions add value to your workforce? Is employee financial wellbeing a priority in your organisation? Would you expect this to be tightly integrated or optional? Are you already using Stream or another EWA provider? Authorising Holidays in a Block

Hi When someone requests a block of holidays, ie 2 weeks, we have to authorise them one day at a time. If it goes onto 2 pages it doesn’t let us tick every box on both pages, we have to do one page then the other. It doesn’t sound like a huge problem, but it’s a pain. Can we please just see the whole period of holiday, and authorise it as one item. So we would see the start and end dates, plus the amount of hours (or days for those companies who have holiday entitlement by day) as one item to be authorised. Thank you

Exception Clearing

When clearing/categorising an exception, there should not only be a ‘create’ option, there should also be a ‘create & clear’. Typically if the exception has been categorised I need the exception to be cleared; I rarely recall having to create/define an exception and still want it present on the exception list. As a side note, different buttons which have different functions but that are repeated throughout the software should be different colours. This helps with association and efficiency. As an example, if the button for “delete” and “create” are the same colour, I’m more likely to select the wrong one by accident. If “delete” is red in colour and “create” is green in colour, it reduces the chance of unintentional selection
